Karnataka Anganwadi Recruitment 2026: The Office of the Deputy Director, Department of Women and Child Development, Yadgir has released the official recruitment notification for 232 Anganwadi Karyakarte (Worker) and Anganwadi Sahayaki (Helper) posts. Karnataka Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 overview
The Department of Women and Child Development, Yadgir has invited online applications for 61 Anganwadi Karyakarte (Worker) and 171 Anganwadi Sahayaki (Helper) posts under the Child Development Scheme. The recruitment is being conducted through online mode only. Only women candidates, including women belonging to eligible linguistic minority communities, can apply for these posts. Candidates must satisfy the prescribed educational qualification, age limit, residence and other eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification before submitting the application.
Karnataka Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 notification details
A total of 232 vacancies have been notified under this recruitment, including 61 Anganwadi Karyakarte and 171 Anganwadi Sahayaki posts across four taluks of Yadgir district. The detailed village-wise and category-wise vacancy distribution is available in the official notification.
Only women candidates are eligible to apply. Applicants must be residents of the respective village, gram panchayat or urban ward where the Anganwadi centre is located. For vacancies remaining unfilled for more than three years, eligible residents of the concerned taluk may also apply subject to the prescribed conditions. Candidates possessing D.S.E.R.T.-recognized ECCE Diploma, JOC, NTT, Diploma in Nutrition, Home Science or other recognized pre-primary teacher training qualifications will receive preference and 5 bonus marks for Anganwadi Karyakarte selection.
The age limit for General category candidates is 19 to 35 years, while eligible disabled candidates are entitled to 10 years of age relaxation. Selection will be based on scrutiny of applications, preparation of a provisional merit list, objection handling, and approval of the final merit list by the District-Level Selection Committee. Applications will be accepted only through online mode from 24 July 2026 to 24 August 2026.
