UGC Net Exam Pattern

The pattern of the UGC NET exam is simple and clear, which includes two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2), Paper 1 has a total of 50 questions which are related to teaching qualifications, research qualifications, logic, reading ability, mathematical qualifications and general knowledge. Paper 2 has a total of 100 questions which are related to the chosen subject of the candidate. All the questions in both paper are objective type ie multiple choice questions.

The entire examination duration is 3 hours and both papers are held in the same session, 2 marks are given for each correct answer and it does not have negative marking. The exam is taken as online mode i.e. computer based test, where the candidate has to choose the correct option by looking at the question on the screen.
