The LIC AAO exam is conducted in three stages which include prelims, men’s and interviews.
In the prelims exam, questions are asked from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language, which are determined differently. The English section is only qualifying while marks of the remaining two sections are added to the merit. Mains exams are asked questions related to Reasoning, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Data Analysis and Insurance and followed by a deskiptive paper which includes essays and letters writing.
There is a provision of negative marking in all examinations, in which 0.25 marks are cut on each wrong answer. Successful candidates in Mains are called for interview and the final selection is done based on the marks obtained in prelims, men’s and interviews. Lic aao selection process
- The first phase is prelims exam, In which questions of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language are asked.
- Successful candidates in prelims are included in the Mains Examination.
- The Mains exam consists of questions related to Reasoning, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Data Analysis and Insurance as well as deskiptive paper.
- Candidates passing in Mains are called for interview.
- In the interview, the communication skill and subject knowledge of the candidate are evaluated.
- The final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in mens and interviews.
- The final appointment is made only after the document verification and medical test.
Lic Aao Exam Pattern Preliminary
- Reasoning Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks, time 20 minutes
- Quantitative Aptitude: 35 questions, 35 marks, time 20 minutes
- English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks, time 20 minutes (only qualifying)
- Total Question: 100, Total marks: 70, Total Time: 60 Minutes
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted on each wrong answer.
Lic Aao Exam Pattern Mains
- Reasoning Ability: 30 questions, 90 marks, time 40 minutes
- General Knowledge and Current Affairs: 30 questions, 60 marks, time 20 minutes
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: 30 questions, 90 marks, time 40 minutes
- Insurance and Financial Market Awareness: 30 questions, 60 marks, time 20 minutes
- English Language (Letter and Essay): 2 questions, 25 marks, time 30 minutes (only qualifying)
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted on each wrong answer.
- Sectional cut-off: It is mandatory to get minimum qualifying marks in each section.
- Total time: All sections will be given 2 hours 30 minutes.
Lic aao interview pattern
- Interview is taken after passing in Mains.
- 60 marks are scheduled for interview (55 marks for reserved category)
- The final merit list is made based on the marks of men’s and interview.
Lic Aao Exam Syllabus
- Reasoning Ability: Pazal, coding-decoding, series, direction and distance, silosism, inequality, blood relations, data adequate, order arrangement include topics.
- Quantitative Aptitude: Number system, average, percentage, ratio and proportion, time and work, time and distance, simple and compound interest, profit-loss, questions such as data interpretation, mix, algebra are asked.
- English language: Reading comprehensions, close tests, syntax, error identification, paragic, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms.
- General Awareness & Current Affairs: Questions based on national and international news, banking and finance, government schemes, awards, sports news and current affairs are asked.
- Insurance and Financial Market: Types of insurance, insurance related words, financial market basics, regulatory organizations, questions related to investment are included.
- Descriptive Paper: Questions based on essay writing, letter writing and paragraph writing are asked.
